Curly Hair

Today when I got Madilyn out of the bathtub her hair was so curly. I decided to put some gel in it and see if it would stay curly. It's so cute! My girls always have a little curl in their hair but seem to lose it after their 1st hair cut. I had to take some pictures and post them up! She is so cute! It was hard to get a smiling picture...cuz she won't stop moving for a second. She is so fun!

She has also started really loving her binkies all of the sudden too...which is really nice when she is fussy! Finally a binkie baby...no thumb sucking! Yay!

Good morning.....what the heck happened?

When Mike went out to go to work this morning this is what we found......

Who know's what happened. We ended up having to file a police report with the sheriff's office for our insurance company. At least it wasn't snowing today! :) After being on the phone all morning and 9 hours later.....

It's all fixed and....

The glass installer even vaccumed it out for me! :) So we are good to go! Yipee!

Wedding Cake Time

Well I was asked to do another wedding cake for a cousin. I'm not great but I'm cheap, so you can't complain right!? I always freak out because I'm so scared that the bride will hate the cake and I'll ruin her perfect day she has been planning since she was a kid! Luckily the bride loved the cake and all was well. I need to practice much more to make them look better and probably take cake classes so I know I'm doing everything right. Here are some pictures of the cake I made yesterday for the wedding. I really enjoy every minute of making the wedding cakes it is so fun!

19. What were you doing ten years ago? hmmm...1999...I was a sophmore in high school. So I was 15 and just having fun in high school!

20. Five things on my to-do list: Clean out the pantry, clean the basement again (boy it gets cluttered fast), finish the basement, paint the rooms that need to be painted, get some scrapbooking done

21.Things I would do if I was suddenly made a billionaire: Pay off the house, pay off the cars, pay off school loans, help family members out, buy my dream convertible, buy a whole new wardrobe, donate to the missionary fund, and the list could go on forever! And of course I would invest it wisely!

22. Three of my bad habits: I bite my nails when I get nervous, I have a hard time keeping my house clean, I hate folding laundry so it's always in baskets for a day or 2.

Long Night but so Worth it When She Said This...

I woke at 2:30 am this morning when I heard my little May throwing up in our bathroom. I got out of bed and ran to her side. She finished and looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, "Mommy I need some medicine!" I told her they don't make medicine for when we are throw up sick and she just started crying and gave me the saddest look. It just broke my heart. Her crying woke up Katelyn who rushed in to help her sister. I sent her back to bed. Finally I got Mayli cleaned up and went to check her bed to see the mess and there was nothing really to clean up. Just a small amount on her pillow. She had thrown up a small amount and held it until she made it to the toilet! She didn't even come get Mommy. I was amazed at her self control and ablity to take care of herself. We went to the couch to watch a movie until Mayli was ready to go back to bed. After a few more trips to the toilet and doing some laundry it was 4:30 am. I made May a little bed right next to our bed and by 5 am we were all back asleep. Maddie woke up at 6 ready to eat. After nursing her I put her back to bed and by 6:30 I was asleep again. 8 am the day started. Finally 12:30 pm rolled around and it was time for Mayli to take her nap. As I tucked her in she looked in my eyes and said, "Mommy, you're my best friend!" And she gave me the biggest smile! And that made everything thing ok! I'm my daughter's best friend! YIPEE!!!

It's Crawling Time!

Well Madilyn has been rolling all over the place for about a month and then yesterday she just started crawling like a pro! I think she just sat there and figured it out so she wouldn't make any mistakes. In this video she almost crawled all the way across the room! She is so cute!
