Broken Furnace

Yesterday afternoon (Monday) while the house was quiet because Kate was at school and May and Maddie were sleeping, I heard the furnace trying to start but it just couldn't make it on. I went downstairs to check on it and it started finally and then stopped shortly after. I went back upstairs and looked at the thermostat and it said it was 70 degrees in the house so I thought that it had shut off because it was warm enough in the house. I continued on with the house work and completely forgot about it.

This morning I woke up and walked into the kitchen and it was FREEZING! I looked at the thermostat and it was 55 degrees in my house! BRRRRR! I just thought oh man I bet something was wrong with the furnace yesterday and I forgot to tell Mike. So I tried to call him but he was in a meeting so he couldn't answer his phone. I decided I'd call my wonderful dad. I called him and he tried to help as well as he could being 850 miles away. I took some pictures and he had me check a few things. After going over possible things that could be wrong that we could fix he told me it would be best to call someone in to get it fixed because he didn't know what the problem was.

I was finally able to get a hold of Mike and we decided we would call Kelly a guy in our ward who does heating and ac for a living. What a great talent to have! I called and when he was done with work, Kelly headed over to our house. He found the problem was the circuit board. We were able to get one from a store in Orem and a friend from Mike's work picked it up for us because we couldn't get there before the store closed (joy of living in the middle of nowhere...where they are doing annoying road construction that keeps the roads way backed up!). After a trip to Lehi and Kelly coming back over to fix it we were able to get the heater fixed and now our house is so WARM!

I'm so grateful to live in a Zion where people help one another out. Kelly saved us a TON of money! We were so blessed. I'm so grateful for wonderful friends who offered their warm houses to us if we got too cold and I'm also grateful for a great friend of mine who stopped by literally 2 minutes after she got off the phone with me and had a huge space heater in hand that kept us very warm while we were waiting for the furnace to get fixed. Thank you to everyone for your concern, love, and kindness! :) All is well and we are warm! :)

Here is a picture of the circuit board that was broken.

'My Flair'

On Facebook they have this application called 'My Flair'. I've had a few friends send me 'pieces of flair' and I've picked out a few. Most of these are quite funny! Below are a few flair that I have on my wall! I love it! Kind of a fun way to express yourself!

We Finally Painted!

After almost 3 years of being in this house we finally painted our very white kitchen! I love the new color. It is a neutral color and it looks like a brand new house! I can't wait (well I can wait cuz I hate to paint...but I can't wait cuz it'll look nice) until we re-paint the baseboards. We painted the kitchen and the hallway.

My Darling Girls!

Not too much has happened lately. It's been pretty chill the past few weeks (besides sickness). These are just some cute pictures I had of the girls. Last Sunday Madilyn was eating breakfast. Mike had just gotten home from his morning meetings and I was getting ready for church. The girls decided it would be fun to put some sunglasses on Maddie. (notice they are upside down) She looked so CUTE!!!
She was loving her banana!

She thought she was pretty cute. (And she was!)

Maddie eating her waffle and chillin'!

The girls wanted to make a cake the other night and well they got to make it and decorate it. Yummy look at all those sprinkles (gag!) :) They were so excited and they looked so cute!

Wow I'm Behind!

Well so much has happened since I last posted!

First I got a new laptop! It is a Dell and it is red! I love it! It is so nice and I'm finally using a computer that belongs to me and not Mike's work! Mike got a great deal on it with a 15% off coupon and got it from the scratch and dent section so it was cheap! Here are a few pictures!

Not quite sure why this picture turned this way!

This is what it looks like open

We also had the opportunity to go to the Draper Temple Open House! We went on February 28th. It was so awesome! The girls loved the temple. Katelyn on the bus ride home said her favorite part was the baptismal font and she said, "Mommy, I want to be baptized someday." *heart melting* The temple is beautiful inside. I can't wait to go after it is dedicated! I was awesome and totally remembered the camera...except the batteries died after the only one picture...and I was telling Mike not to look like a nerd...and well this is it! But it was so great and we really had a great time!

The next and most exciting thing is my brother came home from his mission. He was serving in the Canada Toronto East Mission. My parents went to pick him up and flew through SLC so we could all see him! He is so grown up and it was so amazing to see him! I'm amazed at how a mission makes a boy a man! It was so great to see him after 2 years! My sister flew in from TX with her baby at 4:50pm and my parents flight didn't get in until 6:50pm. So we got to wait at the airport for a while. It was worth the wait! Here are a few pictures of us getting ready for him to come and then when they came!

The girls were playing while we waited.

The kids were so excited for Uncle KK!

Here are the kids ready for Caleb to come down the escalator

Here is all of us waiting. When he came down the escalator we all yelled,"Welcome Home Ay!" and then we all screamed! He was a little embarrassed!

It was so great to see him! He grew up so much!

He is just the same but grown up! We sure missed Caleb and we were so excited to see him!

Here is a video of the kids while we were waiting...
