They turned out great!!!!

So since I've been married I've never made bread, rolls, cinnamon rolls, or anything else from scratch. It's sad I know, but it just is so easy to buy quicker stuff! Well I'm on the Stake Transition Committee and we are having an activity tomorrow for the Young Women and their Transition Visiting Teachers, they are learning to make bread. They asked for volunteers to make cinnamon rolls for the girls to eat and they needed one more person to volunteer. I didn't want to volunteer for fear I would break the girls teeth with hard rolls from my lack of cooking skills, but no one would so I said I'd try. Well guess what! They turned out! After about 20 million calls to my mom I was finally able to make my first homemade dough and cinnamon rolls from scratch. They are soft and so yummy! Here are some pictures! Thanks mom for the help!

Oh and by the way those are chocolate chips in there! So yummy...much better than raisins...YUCK! :)
Of course now there is a big mess to clean up...but thats ok!

Yay! Making things from scratch is the best. Since I have been pregnant, I have been slacking on my cinnamon rolls & bread. Time to get back into it. (Little tip: You can make the cinnamon roll dough, get them all rolled & then freeze them & pull them out anytime to bake them & have fresh cinnamon rolls on hand. Love it!) AWESOME work!!!

what a life said...

You are the cruelest of cruel sister-in-laws Dede ... posting pictures of homemade cinnamon rolls when I can't come and enjoy them.

Of course, you could always try another batch when I come to visit in May ... wink, wink ;)
